With Deadpool and now Logan, Fox should continue making lower budget, R-rated, and mostly standalone films for their X-Men film franchise

This would really help them stand out from the comic book movie crowd, and especially stand apart from their Marvel Studios counterpart. The X-Men have always been about very human drama and philosophical dilemmas, so they can really use these characters to hone in on those aspects, and create deeper, richer films as a result. Obviously that doesnt require an R-rating to do so, but it definitely helps to free up creative control, especially with smaller budgets where there is less at risk for the studios.

I'd love for them to focus on solo films to explore each character and what makes them tick before making yet another X-Men team up film. We've exhausted that well for a while, so I think it's time to focus more on the individuals that make up that infamous mutant team.
